ANGEL
Goodbye Angel. thanks for the memories. i am sorry also. i know i should have dealt with your health problems early on. i did not bring you to the veterinarian when we first learned about your sickness. i know tod's emergence has taken the spotlight from you. he was getting all the attention you used to get. but i can say you are the kindest and most loving, caring and loyal dog we ever had.
you got pregnant many times but for reasons we can never explain, you always lost your babies. you made our family so happy, and looked after us as we sleep at night. i should have done more to save you but i did not. i know i took you for granted angel. i am sorry and please forgive me.
i remember you as a puppy who was so gentle, yet so active. i remember you as a friend who never fails to welcome me each time i come home from school, and eventually from the office. i remember you as a mother who was in pain because of losing your babies many times.
you got sick and you were never the same again. you stayed inside and shied away from people. you refrained from going out and taking walk. perhaps you knew you were sick and that you don't want others to look at you with such pity.
but despite all of those, despite being weak, you never ceased to come to me each time i visit the house, and rest your head on my knees like you always do.
you will never be forgotten, angel. not by me, not by khalvin, not by jen. we love you and our hearts bleed because we never gave you enough attention, enough care, enough urgency when you fell sick. you gave us your all, served us without expecting anything in return all your life. we are asking for your forgiveness.
i know you held on because i was in boracay. you just waited for me to see you for the last time. you held on to say goodbye to me. you stopped eating but you did eat when i offered you something. wherever you are. we love you, i love you angel.
your name fits you to a T. you are an angel. you are our angel....forever.

Sayonara Tabing Ilog
Last episode na ng tabing ilog kanina. i surely will miss my favorite show. how can i forget the cast who played their role very convincingly. it made sunday my favorite day and i always looked forward to "hanging out" with them every 2 in the afternoon.
fonzy, george, anne, james, corrine, badong, lola juling, mang panyong and aling ason and of course eds and rovic. their roles stick to the loyal viewers' mind and they would even call them by their names in tabing ilong, not by their real screen names. i remember when i first saw its commercial with james (played by patrick garcia), inviting everyone to "tambay na sa tabing ilog". then one sunny afternoon i chanced upon my sister, jen, watching an episode. i sat beside her and asked her to give me a little preview of the story. i just found myself glued to the tv set.
tabing ilog made me look at life in a different perspective, tho funny as it may seem, or baduy it may sound. it made me realize that it is better to live a simple life. a quiet and happy life in the province where life is more relaxed and time isn't that fast. where people are more accommodating and trusting. where people do not take advantage of other's weakness. where people are always ready to lend a helping hand. where problems are treated as part of our lives, which should be faced and solved and get our lessons from. where life is an experience which should be lived.
thanks for keeping me company every sunday for 4 long years. i salute you tabing ilog barkada. tara na.. tambay na sa tabing ilog!
