Happy Birthday Tatay
it's my tatay's birthday today. he's 58. i hope he will be given more years by Him to enjoy life. the first thing i did this morning when i saw him was greet him a happy birthday. it was just a casual greeting, no hugs, no kisses. just a plain greeting. tatay and i don't have that kind of relationship. the kind of relationship my son and i have - we hug and kiss each other everyday. tatay didn't raise us that way, but i don't resent it.
tho we always clash, i love him so much. he may not hear it from me but i know he knows it. every thing that i do, every decision that i make, i am sure, makes him realize how dear he is to me. but i fall short of doing the easiest and most obvious way of doing it -telling him.
we spent saturday night drinking with his friends and some of our heighbors to celebrate his birthday. i rented a videoke machine so everybody will have a great time. and a great time they had. of course, the star of the show was non other than mang narcing. nobody can defeat him when it comes to showmanship and electrifying song numbers. he simply is a cut above the rest. jeremy was there. i couldn't believe it, he stayed until 5 in the morning. now i know why he bought a magic sing. the guy loves singing, but i'm not sure if singing loves the guy.
early morning saturday i was surprised to hear loud music coming from our next door neighbor. i know jengjeng's birthday is also on 8th of november. what surprised me was that they also rented a videoke machine. something they do not normally do. they don't celebrate that way.
we proceeded with the celebration and when the smoke cleared, the guy selling pandesal was already on the road while we started to go and call it a night (or is it a day already?)
